At the heart of Rawtenstall town centre lies the newly built bus station. We have a plot just nearby you may spot on your travels! Here we are growing a variety of herbs such as oregano, marjoram, thyme. If you come at the right time you may be able to pick some strawberries or peas! You can usually find mustard, spinach and potato which are great for making curries and stews.

Managing the site brings lots of interesting conversations with the public about who we are and why we’re here, and lots of people love to pop by and see what we’re growing.

If you visit our bus station site, you can grab yourself some wonderful plants for recipes such as:

Marjoram, Sage, Thyme, Potatoes, Strawberries, Kale, Mustard, Peas!

You can also find various flowers, great for pollinators such as Lavender, Wildflowers and Sunflowers!
